Sandbag It
Consult your owner's manual to
determine if you have a rear-wheel drive vehicle, if so you can put a sandbag
or two over the rear axel to add weight giving the vehicle added traction. Start by adding one 50-pound bag and check
to see how your vehicles handling improves (more bags maybe added as
needed).
DO NOT put sandbags in a
front-wheel drive vehicle! Putting bags
in a front-wheel drive car will cause the car to lose traction and can be very
dangerous.
DO NOT put sandbags in the
passenger compartment of your vehicle.
In an accident these heavy sandbags will become projectiles that could
cause serious injury.
