Fill the Tank
In the event that you do get stranded in a snowstorm you will need to stay warm while waiting for help. Your vehicle can idle indefinitely and will not harm your engine as long as you have gas! With older vehicles it would be to your benefit to crack a window just in case you have a small exhaust leak so carbon monoxide will have a way to escape the vehicle. If you are stranded for an extended amount of time be sure to get out and check that snow has not blocked the tail pipe.
